Swipe Left For "Subtle" Red Flags

After my disastrous first date encounter, I took a break from the apps for a while. But you know what they say - fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice...well, you won't fool me again!

I tentatively dipped my toe back into the dating pool, this time screening matches a bit more carefully. Everything seemed normal at first - similar interests, witty banter, good vibes. Until I got THIS message from a guy named Todd:

"Hey gorgeous, love your pics. Btw I just got out of prison last month, hope that's not an issue ;)"

Um, yeah Todd that MIGHT be something worth mentioning up front?! Obviously I swiped left so fast my phone almost flew across the room. Some subtlety would be nice, fellas.

Next was Paul, who seemed really sweet at first. But every.single.message included some reference to his insanely jacked physique or how many days a week he hits the gym. Subtle sign #2 that intense bro-ness might be on the horizon. Adios, Paul!

And don't even get me started on Mike and his constant unsolicited shirtless bathroom selfies (thanks but no thanks).

So while the search continues, I've learned some valuable red flag detecting skills along the way. With any luck, my next match will be slightly more...chill. Until then, happy swiping folks! Don't say I didn't warn you.
